He is survived by: his spouse Mildred Brewer; his daughters, Loretta West (Dean) of Danville and Debra Vallangeon of Westville; his grandchildren, Amy Phillips (Luke), Misty Cook (Christopher), Chris Hathaway (Taylor) and Cathy Balsamello-Rutledge; and his siblings, Claude Vallangeon (Elaine) and Gladys Pickering (Chuck).
