Roberta Mayer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roberta Mayer of Westville, Illinois, who passed away on December 22, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Alfred and Cecil Elcinda Kennedy (Carpenter); her husband Jan Joseph Mayer; her son Jeffrey A. Mayer; and her siblings, Alfred L. Kennedy, Mary Alice McCarty, Charles A. Kennedy (Amy), Sandra K. Martin (Bobby), William H. Kennedy (Lenny) and Willis A. Kennedy.
She is survived by: her sister Shirley A. Hitt (Gene Cummings); her daughters, Holly B. Brewer (Floyd), Roberta K. "Kem" Sparrow (Anthony G.) and Synthia A. "Sam" Mayer Huff (Jeff Davis); and her grandchildren, Robert "Bobby" L. Pickerson (Autumn), Kalipb R. Wiggins, Karena K. Compton (Joseph), Kye L. Paul-Ward (Steven), Anthony E. Sparrow (Sarah), Logan D. Sparrow, Angel G. Sparrow, Lacy L. Sparrow, Michael D. Sparrow (Kaliyah), Matthew Sparrow, David Huff (Abigail), Jon Huff (Sarah) and Mikaela Huff. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and one great, great grandson; along with many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center (414 S State St, Westville, IL 61883). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
