He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jackson and Naomi Doan Jackson; his sister Polly; and his niece Elissa "Izzy" Fiscus. He is survived by: his daughter Naomi Smith (Shawn) of Danville, IL; his siblings, Floyd, Fred, Frank, Paul, James, Johnny, Clint Jackson, Peg Jackson and Nikki Sherrill; and his grandchildren, Tyler and Chloe Smith.
