He was predeceased by: his siblings, Georgia C. Hinchman, Sonnia L. Henthorn and Ronald D. Cole. He is survived by: his daughters, Janet S. Cole of Champaign and Teresa L. Chaney (Jeff) of Westville; his grandchildren, Amanda Chaney, Lukas Knight, Jenna Chaney, Jeffrey Chaney and William Knight; his great grandchildren, Brandon, Ava and Aeris; his stepchildren, Wayne A Slevin (Gina Acosta), Gary L. Slevin (Autumn Cope) and Virginia J. Williams (Aaron); his stepgreat-grandchild Paisley; and his close friends, Jerry Hannan and Allen Alford.
