He was predeceased by: his stepbrother Mark Rice; his cousins, Carrie Gulick and Aymee Johnson-McCay; and his uncle Loren Carpenter. He is survived by: his parents, Randy Scott (Linda) and Joann Schingel (Mike); his children, John Scott (Ashley) and Tara Oxier (Mike); his grandchildren, Kaiden, Nevaeh, Grayson, Zoey, Carson Scott, Nathan and Hannah Oxier; and his siblings, Michael Scott (Susan), Shanna Doggett (Steve), Amanda Rice (Theo Gonzalez), Maggie Rice, Michael Schingel (Jennifer) and Matt Rice. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Grape Creek Baptist Church.
