He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Golden and Mamie Golden; his siblings, Charles, Esther, Mineva and Frances; his son-in-law Rick DeBarba; and his former wife Dorothy Drollinger Pickett.
He is survived by: his children, Rusty Golden (Sue), Chuck Golden (Sharon), Terry Pate (George), Barbra Burke (Roy), Bev DeBarba (Rick), Mary Connett (Warren) and Penny Bunting (Tom Stitt); and his grandchildren, Jenna Henderson (Nicholas), Ryan Pate (Kayla), Shay Jones (Matt), Kristie Eyer (Adam), Deonna Edmonson (James), Rich DeBarba (Maida), Jeff DeBarba (Julie), Candi Sternberger (Erik), Mandi Fahey (Tom), Megan Zedrick (Jake) and Michael Bunting (Kylah). He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61832). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Danville National Cemetery (1900 E Main St, Danville, IL 61834).
