He is survived by: his daughter Melisa Bowman (Dustin Coon); his siblings, Robert Bowman (Mona), Kenny Bowman (Crystal), Karen Blaker (Jay) and Sharon Pate (Mike); his grandchildren, Joseph Howard Miller and Robert James Miller; and his stepgrandchildren, Harley Coon and Damien Coon. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, & cousins, as well as his childhood friends.

Memorial donations may be given in his name to Danville Lutheran School.
