It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Holycross of Westville, Illinois, born in Vermilion, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kleeman Holycross and Nancy Swank Holycross; his siblings, Dorothy Carithers and Jack Holycross; his grandson Brian Robson; and his sister-in-law Reva Holycross.

He is survived by: his wife Clovia Holycross; his children, Betty Jo Robson (John), Larry Holycross (Penny) and Nancy Leach (Alan); his grandchildren, Beth Beckett, Josh Brown, Jessica Hogue and Jennifer Leach; and his siblings, Jerry Holycross, Dean Holycross (Kathy), Margaret Steffey, Mary Lou Allen (Bob) and Donald Holycross (Diane). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
