He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Barney and Ruth Barney (Pearson); and his brothers, Calvin Barney and Robert Barney. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Barney White of Melba; his siblings, Yvonne Miller of Westville, Carol McCardle of Westville, Teresa Pridemore of Westville, Dianna Forsyth of Danville, Karen Dietz of Emmett, Ed Barney (Jodi) of Westville and Tim Barney (Linda) of Tilton; and his friend Karen.
