He was predeceased by: his parents, Vic Slowik and Stella Slowik; his wife Mary Ann; and his brother-in-law Ed Trembacz (LaVerne). He is survived by: his children, Jim (Tracy), Dan, Dave Slowik (Heather) and Jean Rosenzweig (Eric); his grandchildren, Sarah, Jimmy, Olivia, Luke and Hadleigh; and his sister Jeannine Adamczyk (late Bob).

In lieu of flowers, masses said in Rich's name are appreciated.
