He is survived by: his spouse Dessie; his children, Dexter Johnson, Brenda Dobbs (Gregory), Paul Johnson (Latrice), Angela McGee Sr. (Kelly) and Jacqueline Jefferson (Michael); his grandchildren, Dexter Johnson II (Laura), Lagina Dabbs (Gregory), Joy Dobbs, Trina Johnson (Victor Jefferson), Britnee Dobbs, Rhenna McGee and Kelly McGee Jr. Fond; his great grandchildren, Kendall Johnson, Alexandrea Dabbs, Jillian Dabbs and Dexter Johnson III; and his siblings, Freda Brown, Julia Spears, Dorothy Spears, Mary Melton, Roy Melton (Doris), Donnell Melton, Vercy Jones, Ella Bryant (Marion) and Paulette Melton.
