He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; his sisters, Eleanor (late Carl) and Lorraine; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Mueller (Bill) and Michael Lafferty.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Simpson, James Dowd (Jean), Mark Dowd (Lynn) and Paul Dowd (Linda); and his brother-in-law Tom Lafferty (Janet).
