He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susan Malina; his daughters, Alison Lapinski (Tom) and Adrienne Uniejewski (Jim); his grandchildren, Nicholas Uniejewski and Rachel Uniejewski; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Trevino (Al) and Natalie Owen (late Rick). He was also cherished by 4 nephews.
