He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Shaffner and Anna Jean Shaffner (McCullom); and his brother Gerald Shaffner. He is survived by: his sister Marilyn; his siblings-in-law, Jim Collier of Martinsville, IL, Ken, Julene Shaffner of West Union, IL, Myron Shaffner of West Union, IL, Elden, Janet Shaffner of Makanda, IL and Sharon Shaffner of West Union, IL; and his close friends, Jim and Barb Blankenbeker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
