It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Shane of West Peoria, Illinois, born in Bradford, Illinois, who passed away on January 9, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Doyle Johnston and Margaret Johnston (Hannon); her husband Gary A. Shane; her siblings, Jean Panczak, Betty Phelps and Helen Crooks; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Shane and Kevin S. Bushell.
She is survived by: her children, Annie Shane (Karen Bushell) of Gaithersburg, MD, Donna Klusman (Bryan) of West Peoria, Michael Shane of West Peoria and Patrick Shane of Peoria; and her sisters, Rosemary Szidon of Peoria and Jane Anne Morrissey of Peoria. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
