It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Francis Flynn of West Peoria, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on September 1, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leo and Anna C. Neylon Flynn; his sister Marikaye; his siblings-in-law, Scotty Maas, Marshall Hopping, Jr., Merv Haycock, Jack Kocher, Jim Casey, John Brophy, Bill Brophy, Madeliene Marie Brophy and Jean Ann Brophy; and his grandson Will Flynn.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Trish" Brophy; his children, Bridget Kemper (Vince) of Peoria, Maureen Birdoes (Bill) of West Peoria, Margaret "Peggy" Dwyer (Tom) of West Peoria, Timothy Flynn (Katy) and James Flynn (Tricia Fox) of Peoria; and his sister Carol Hopping. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
