With profound sadness, we say goodbye to George Edward Myers of West Peoria, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the vast expanse of eternity, George Edward shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James Myers and Helen Myers; and his aunt Margaret Roberts. He is survived by: his children, Alex Myers of Edelstein, IL and Betsy Dunehew (Jason) of Bradford, IL; his grandchildren, Caleb, Wyatt and Avery; his brothers, James and William (Rachel); and his former wife Peggy Yung. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in memory of George may be made to a place that he not only worked on the construction of but also held special meaning to him, OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois.
