It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Susie McElyea of West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on November 26, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Velva Ambos (Funkhouser); and her son Keith Dover. She is survived by: her husband Brad; her children, Crystal Montgomery and Daniel Dover (Nicole); her father Arnold "Art" Ambos; her grandchildren, Skylyn, Addlynn, Cali, Drake, Hannah and Casey; her siblings, Cheryl Vieceli (Ron), Shirley Chady (Dan), Lynn May (Keith), Carol Easley' (Jerry) and James Ambos (Sydney); her mother-in-law Frances Smith (Jack); and her siblings-in-law, Karen and Brain Jones. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; along with many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Funeral Home (213 E Oak St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in Susie's name may be made to St. Jude's and envelopes will be accepted at the funeral home.
