She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ragan and Grace Ragan (Boyd); her son Michael Hefner; and her brothers, Robert Ragan and Dwight Ragan.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry Hefner; her children, Laura Julian (John) and Jerry Hefner (Deborah); her brother David Ragan (Denise); and her grandchildren, Amanda Skobel (Tony), Joshua Hefner (Jill), Leah Clem (Nathan), Megan Smith (Joseph), Timothy Hefner (Katie) and Rebecca Fitch (Kyle). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
