She was predeceased by: her parents, Olen Parks and Susie Parks (Tanner); her husband John Melvin; her son Michael Melvin; and her siblings, Hartwell Parks, Bill Parks, RJ Parks and Marjorie Kesler.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Squibb (Steve), Janet Melvin, Kim Bonacorsi (Jerry), Steven Melvin (Suzanne), Jon Melvin and Tony Melvin (Karen); and her daughter-in-law Karen Melvin. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Wit & Wisdom – West Frankfort, Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
