It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Dean Phelps of West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on March 19, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lurye Ann Gwaltney and Paul Palmer; and his brother James Michael Cepolski (Mike). He is survived by: his siblings, Larry Phelps (Sherry) of Edmond, OK, Teresa Mays of West Frankfort, IL and Tenna Humphrey (Clint) of Gulf Breeze, FL.; his nieces and nephews, Kari Phelps, Valencia Phelps, Jim Toothman (Celine) of Germany, Scott Toothman, Ryan Phelps of Belleville, IL, Nathan Burnett (Katie) of Herrin, IL, Amanda Mays, Kim Sturgil, Valerie Cepolski, Chad Phelps of West Frankfort, IL, Nicholas Dawson of Johnston City, IL, Sean Mocaby of Marion, IL, Jacqueline and Zachary Boomer of Germany; his aunts, Bonnie Kay Glisson of Carbondale, IL and Janelle Wilson of Knox, IN.; and his friend Darla Griffin of West Frankfort, IL.. He is also survived by several grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and other extended family.
DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS RELATED TO COVID-19: visitation limit of 50 person capacity at one time; funeral limit to 50 persons; facial coverings required; and social distancing yourself from others.
