It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rickey Karas of West Frankfort, Illinois, born in Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on March 15, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Karas and Opal Karas (Ledbetter); his sister-in-law Sally Karas; and his parents-in-law, Lloyd Marrs, Jule and Pauline Sailliez.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Karas; his son Michael Karas (Tena); his grandchildren, Alexus, Ashlie, Sun-Yoon and Kaori; his brother John Karas; his siblings-in-law, Larry Marrs (Patsy) and Susie Thomas (Don Allen); and his nephews, Robbie Karas (Carey) and Blake Karas. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
