It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Mae Sanders of West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dorris and Lola Dorris (Woods); her sisters-in-law, Wanda Dorris and Carolyn Dorris; and her niece Jamie Phoenix.
She is survived by: her son Darin; her daughter-in-law Amy Sanders of Defiance, MO; her daughter Melisa; her son-in-law Todd Yotkewich of Johnston City; her grandsons, Aaron of Kansas City, MO, Caleb Sanders of Kansas City, MO and Tyler Yotkewich (Sydney Kuzma) of Johnston City; and her siblings, Jim Dorris of Sesser, Tom Dorris (Judy) of West Frankfort and Linda Hall (Russell) of West Frankfort. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pyle Funeral Home (1008 W Broadway Blvd, Johnston City, IL 62951). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
