He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hanahue Popit; his children, Ned Popit, Kevin (Jocelyn Popit) and Mary Frances (Luke Townsend); his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Popit, Patricia (Ronald Stanczak) and Kathleen Popit; and his grandchildren, Anne Popit, Joseph Popit and Patrick Townsend.
