It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Sue Brotherton of West Frankfort, Illinois, born in Johnston City, Illinois, who passed away on February 1, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Avery and Lilly Avery (Lawrence); her husband Jimmy Brotherton; her son Timmy Brotherton (Debbie); her grandson Jeremy Brotherton; and her siblings, Dean Williams, Jewell Smith and Lavern Avery.
She is survived by: her daughter Terry Roberts of West Frankfort; her grandchildren, Brandy Bettis (Kevin), Taylor Williams (Clint), Ty Conner and Taryn Williams (Bryce); and her sister Evelyn Mahan of Johnston City. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
