He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Korando and Mary Korando (Farmer); and his son-in-law Zach Schneider. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Winthrop Maple; his daughter Rebecca Korando Dessenberger (Steve) of St. Charles, Missouri; his stepson Mark Maple (Mandy) of Springfield, IL; his grandchildren, Henry Isaac Dessenberger of St. Charles and Gracie June Maple of Springfield; his brothers, David Korando (Kendra) of Ava, IL and Ken Korando (Ann) of Tampa, Florida; and his nieces and nephews, Kristy Kuhnert, Lori Eaton (Robert) of DuQuoin, Illinois, Stephanie Zipprich (Matt) of Troy, Illinois, Melissa Korando (John Bateman) of Great Mills, MD, Nicholaus Korando (Heather) of Nashville, Tennessee and Kohl Korando of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by many cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.

Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, the Jackson County Stage Company of Carbondale, and Missionaries of Charity/Mother Theresa, and will be accepted at the church or at Searby's Funeral Home.
