It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Watson of West Frankfort, Illinois, born in Malden, Missouri, who passed away on October 31, 2022, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy St. Clair Clem and Mary E. Clem (McKown); her husband Hugh Hilbert Watson; and her son-in-law Mike Melvin. She is survived by: her daughter Karen Melvin of Thompsonville; her grandchildren, James Melvin of Thompsonville and Amie Schuessler of West Frankfort; her great grandchildren, Kyle Michael Melvin and Anastasia E. Schuessler; her great great grandchildren, Nora, Aubrie and Maddie; her niece Mary Rae LeVault of Whittington; her caregivers, Janet Melvin and Heather Prince; and also, Gayla Hays, Gloria Otterson and Lloyd Wilburn.
Memorial contributions can be made to the West Frankfort Wit & Wisdom or the West Frankfort Second Baptist Church and will be accepted at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home.
