He is survived by: his mother Josephine Conaughty (McGhee); his wife Ronda Conaughty; his children, Kristin Bates (Brian) and Brandon Conaughty; his siblings, Charlie, Tom Conaughty, Katherine Reed (Hugh), Connie Peters, Liz Witkewicz (Pete), Mary Jackanicz (Andy) and Caroline Brennan (Mike); his granddaughters, Stella and Amelia; his mother-in-law Pat Chance; and his brothers, Bruce Chance (Tammy) and Greg Chance (Bethanne).

Memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic School and will be accepted at the funeral home.
