It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Johnnie Ray Knapp of West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on May 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Knapp and Lillian Knapp; his former wife Patricia Harris Knapp; his sons, Richard and Jeffrey Knapp; and his brother Richard Knapp.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his daughter Joni Wiggins; his stepsons, Joe Navrkal (Nancy), Terry Travis (Tracy) and Kevin Walker (Kaye); his daughter-in-law Dena Knapp; and his grandchildren, Rebecca and Patrick Walker.

Memorials may be made to the Carbondale Police Department and will be accepted at the funeral home.
