He was predeceased by: his wife Rhonda K. Murphy; his parents, Don Murphy and Betty Murphy; and his siblings, Don Michael Murphy, Floyd Walter Murphy and Debbie Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Winemiller (Lee) of Akin and John Bryan Murphy (Carrie) of Thompsonville; his grandchildren, Jordan Heusner (Jacob) of West Frankfort and Jhett Winemiller of Akin; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Aaron; and his siblings, Linda Snider of West Frankfort and Wayne Murphy of Thompsonville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
