He was predeceased by: his father Elmer Colyer; his wife Ramona Colyer; his mother Emma McCarty (Mann); and his siblings, William Colyer and Naomi Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Colyer of West Frankfort, Debi Colyer Morgan (Dave) of Carterville, Marcia Van Horn (Mike) of Bluffton, SC, Larry Moore (Penny) of West Frankfort and Mark Moore of West Frankfort; his brother Richard Colyer; and his grandchildren, Mike, Denetta Magruder, Eric, Rhiannon Wiggins, Richard Newton, Rusty D. Mays, Taylor Moore, Emily Moore, Jeremy, Megan Moore, Tanisha, Alexis Moore, Austin Smith and Jacob Colyer. He is also survived by many great grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
