As John Mac departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John Mac may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John Mac leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, McDonald Mills and Ernestine Mills. He is survived by: his children, Mechelle Ward (Terry) and Shawn Mills (Colleen); and his friends, Dennis, Pam Moak, Connie, Bob Hilliard and Jerry Cutsinger. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (106 W Oak St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Frankfort First Baptist Church (105 W Oak St, West Frankfort, IL 62896).
