He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kirby and Ella Elizabeth Kirby (Masterson); and his brothers, Terry, Donald and Jim Kirby.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kirby (Cowsert); his son Dr. Brian Kirby (Holly) of Pensacola; his granddaughters, Rachael and Hannah Kirby; and his niece Sara Richardson of West Frankfort.

In memory of Jerry, memorial contributions can be made to the Trinity Methodist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
