We are sad to announce that on October 19, 2023, at the age of 64, James J. Goodpaster of West Frankfort, Illinois, born in Lexington, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Robert Estil Goodpaster. He is survived by: his mother Judith Ann Goodpaster (Updike); his close friend Tim Craft of West Frankfort; and his brothers, Steven "Pat" Goodpaster and Stuart Goodpaster. He is also survived by 2 nephews, 4 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
