He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Shepherd and Mildred Shepherd (Bolinger). He is survived by: his children, Trae Shepherd (Emily) of Mathews, Wyatt Shepherd (Mary) of Winston-Salem, Seth Shepherd of Goreville and Lillly Shepherd of Harrisburg; and his brother James Shepherd of Arkansas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
