It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Duane Tomlinson (West Frankfort, Illinois), born in Benton, Illinois, who passed away on January 23, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tomlinson and Bernice Tomlinson; his wife Deanna (Sukoski); and his siblings, John "David" Tomlinson and Jean Ann Patterson.
He is survived by: his uncle Lyle Foster Tomlinson; his children, Martha Tomlinson Gusentine (Bob), George Prentiss Tomlinson and Thomas Edward "Tommy" Tomlinson; his sister Mary Ellen Tatter; his grandchildren, Mary, Jacob, Annemarie, Elizabeth, Cate and George; his sisters-in-law, Mary Beth Breeden (Richard) and Carol Grace; and his pet Tank. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that people consider donations to the West Frankfort Lions Club.
