He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Collins and Minnie Collins (Newton); and his siblings, Glendanelle, Porter, Jerry and Reuben.

He is survived by: his former wife Susan Kae Childers; his wife Kae Collins (Childers) of West Frankfort; his son George W. Collins, II (Tanya) of Nashville, TN.; his grandchildren, Abigail Grace Collins, Jeremiah W. Collins, Serenity J. Collins, Zaria A. G. W. Collins and Simon C. Collins; and his sister-in-law Linda Hale of Pittsburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Hebrew Temple of Benton or Camp Ben Frankel.
