With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Gene Shoemaker of West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Showmaker and Lena Oliver (Baker); and his siblings, Norma Lee Mosley, Mona Rae Garner, Odell Tessone, Carthell Rhorbacher and Donald Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Shoemaker; his children, C. J. Easter (Annette) of Benton, Gary L. Shoemaker (Chandra) of Herrin, Darren Shoemaker (Donna) of Thompsonville and Laura Ann Bowen (Steve) of Paducah; and his sister Nancy Henson (Jerry) of Johnston City. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
