He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sminchak and Mary Sminchak (Lukek); his siblings, Molly Sminchak, Barbara Stratton and Donald Sminchak; and his brothers-in-law, Rene of Groof and Gary Stratton.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Stone-Sminchak; his sisters, Mona of Groof, Gloria Mumbower (Gerald) and Kathy Cremer (Dick); and his sister-in-law Dorris Sminchak. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
