He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Bowers and Pearl Bowers (Ervin); and his siblings, Helen Ray, Delores McColgan, Barbara Palmer, Lynda Grizzell, Eudora Loewe, Laura Pettis, Charles Bowers and Robert Bowers.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Bowers; his children, Eric Bowers, Treasa Harper, Sherry Owen (Michael) and Cindy Wallace; and his sister June Owsley. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
