He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Simpson; his son Denny Simpson; his parents, Virgel Simpson and Beulah Simpson; and his sisters, Mona Lowery and Virginia Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Simpson, Kevin Simpson and Kim Stubblefield; his grandchildren, Cody Simpson (Samantha Simpson), Kecia Simpson, Kelsie Pedigo (Jeff Pedigo), Taylor Chornak (Collin), Brittney Simpson, Corey Stubblefield (Jessie Stubblefield) and Gabe Stubblefield (Tara Stubblefield); and his great grandchildren, Alex, Lily, Blake, Jase, Braxtyn, Ellie, Evan, Ava, Caden, Gracelyn and Brayden Mausey.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home (604 E Main St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
