It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diana Walton of West Frankfort, Illinois, born in Benton, Illinois, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Eugene Williams and Freda Williams (Dillon); her husband Richard Leon Walton; her sisters, Carleen Burgess and Sandra Arnett; and her close friend Gordon Holmes.
She is survived by: her son Rich Walton (Bonnie) of Temple; her grandchildren, Reace Walton of West Frankfort, Troy Brock of Aledo and Ashley Covemaker of Woodhull; and her brother-in-law Evan Burgess of Benton. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to Angel Acres in Marion at 8380 Worleys Mill Rd. and will also be accepted at the funeral home.
