With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Curtis Lester Caraway of West Frankfort, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Lester Caraway and Katheren Caraway (Mayer); and his sister Nola Rash. He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Keith Caraway (Marilyn), Dane Henson (Lisa), Jeremy Castellano (Chelsea), David Castellano (Laura), Chris Castellano (Katelyn), Cindy Pivnicny (Vinny), Krista Hasty (Frank) and Kristen Mosbach (Tim); his sister Janice Biggs (Richard); and his siblings-in-law, Lisa (Bill Minor), Henry Vaughn, Terry Vaughn (Sara) and Barry Vaughn (Janet). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, and a community of friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Funeral Home (213 E Oak St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
