He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sr. Spears and Beatrice Spears (Williams); his daughter Tracy Lyn Spears; and his siblings, Alice Foster, Debbie Williams, Bob Morgan and Bill Morgan.

He is survived by: his wife Marsha Spears; his children, James Kevin McIntosh and Susie Spears; and his siblings, Tracy Bunton, Brenda Hoppers (Dean), Becky Spain (Denny) and David Wayne Spears. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
