He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet Joyce Baker (Neiman) and James Robert; his brother Kenneth Robert Baker; and his grandparents, James, Ruby Baker, Borden Dean and Lois Neiman.

He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Brotherton (Vern) of West Frankfort, IL, Jeffery Wayne Baker (Debbie) of West Frankfort, IL, Gary Lee Baker (Beverly) of Crab Orchard, IL and James Dean Baker (Mary) of Crab Orchard, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
