He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Foster and Lola Foster (Smith); his daughter Carla Foster; and his sisters, Linda Ragsdale and Geraldine Wood.
He is survived by: his children, Lola Foster, Carl Foster Jr. and Charles Spears; and his sister Sharon Osborne (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
