He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Lynn Warner; his parents, Walter Darnell and Annis Darnell; and his siblings, John, James, Walter and Freida Rich.
He is survived by: his children, Capprice Switlik, Denise Darnell and Tran Hu Dung; and his grandchildren, Jason Conaughty (Norma), Garrett Brown, Raven Tindall (Eric) and Amanda Morgan. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
