He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Johnson Long; his daughter Cara Hartzell (Dane); his grandchildren, Brigetta, Lillemor and Ingrid of Minneapolis, MN; his daughter Candace Postol (Sean); his grandchildren, Cabot and Parker of Grayslake, IL.; and his siblings, Barbara Shedd of Boone, IA, Joseph Long (Carole) of Yarmouth, ME and Jacquie Crimins of Chatham, MA.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Elgin (216 E Highland Ave, Elgin, IL 60120). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (216 E Highland Ave, Elgin, IL 60120).
