She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco DeJesus and Dionisia Mendoza-Rivera; her husband Teodoro Cruz-Sola; and her son Carmelo. She is survived by: her children, Carlos Cruz (Juanita), Aurea Sanchez (Javier) and Nydia Rios (Ramon); and her nephew Jason Malave. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
