He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Romanek and Josephine Romanek; his wife Lillian R. Schiavoni; his daughter Pamela M. Romanek; his father-in-law Julius F. Schiavoni; and his sisters, Arlene Rieke and Carolyn Romanek.
He is survived by: his sons, Leonard Romanek (Jennifer) and Edward Romanek (Lori McGavock); his grandchildren, Joseph and Rebecca; his siblings, Barbara Gilmore (Bill), Jeanette Zaremba (Ken) and Ronald Romanek; his mother-in-law Grace B. Schiavoni; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Westerlund, Diane Olson (late Gerald M.) and Joann Meyer (late Steven J. "Soupy"). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
